Nurayah Sheikh (b.1971) completed her Bachelor’s degree with a Distinction, in Fine Arts (printmaking) at the National College of Arts, Lahore in 1993.
She is a part of the printmaking faculty at the Indus Valley School of Arts & Architecture – Karachi. She has exhibited her work in group shows nationally and internationally.
Nurayah’s imagery is a blend of nature, foliage and the female form. The artist makes use of metaphors to illustrate her ideas in a rather enigmatic and enticing manner.
The artist’s work was a part of the show Origins at Khaas Gallery, Islamabad (2014).
