The artist is greatly fascinated by human anatomy through which she tries to understand the world around her. She does not only derive inspiration from the human body but also tries to give tangibility to human emotions and sentiments.
Her work is a comment on several topics, be it the vulnerability of humans and dysfunctionality or the opposing idea of strength within humans when it comes to survival. Through her artwork she tries to understand issues such as femininity and identity. Furthermore, she draws on personal experiences to recreate events and incidents on paper mostly representing human emotions in a humorous way.
Her work shows great inspiration derived from illustrations in graphic novels and comics or sci- fi movies that have helped her develop her own characters. Batool has tried her hand at numerous mediums, be it painting, digital painting, installations or graphite drawings and so on.
The artist showed her work in Doppelganger, a group show at Khaas Gallery, Islamabad (2015).
