Babur Gull (1981) is a Lahore-based practicing visual artist as well as a curator at Khaas Art Gallery since 2009. The artist completed his BFA at Hunerkada College of Visual and Performing Arts, Lahore (2005) and is currently pursuing his MA (Hon.) Visual Arts Programme at the National College of Arts, Lahore.
The artist’s abstract forms talk about how different circumstances or moments in time result in a disparate perception of the world and the common hurdles man has to undergo every day. Gull observes how simple impediments can seem complex due to our own unwillingness to resolve them, consequently resulting in a person setting certain limits upon himself.
Gull’s work was a part of two group shows; Miniature Reloaded (2009) and Reinforcement (2014) at Khaas Art Gallery, Islamabad.
